Adventures in Alternative Cinema
Adventures has been working with young people, exploring cinema “beyond the multiplex”. Our Young Programmers have been discovering specialised film, and thinking about new ways to stimulate interest by other young people in trying something “un-hollywood”, as well as making use of their local, rural part-time cinema venues.
They've been considering different ways of making specialised film and local cinema venues more inviting for younger audiences, with new ideas for brand development, marketing and screening set ups – including indoor picnic cinema!
They've also developed ideas for film “seasons” at rural venues, as well as a curating a programme of archive film for MereFest in Ellesmere, North Shropshire.
