Discovering Lily Chitty
Discovering Lily Chitty is a short creative documentary made by young people in collaboration with MediaActive Projects. The project was commissioned by Shropshire Museums as part of their Arts Council England funded Young Collective programme, and supported by Vibrant Shropshire. The film is central to a new exhibition that shines a light on Lily Chitty's life and work, curated by the group for a Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery installation and subsequent Shropshire-wide tour.
Working alongside creative media specialists, archivists and museum curators, the Young Collective explored the collections of Shropshire Museums and Archives to uncover the fascinating life and work of the pioneering Shropshire archaeologist Lily Chitty.
